We hope you all are doing well and staying cool over the hot summer months. We have been so blessed to keep a full schedule over the last little while. God has been good to us. We have been to several different churches in the last few months, and we have seen many souls saved and lives changed. The most recent meetings we have ministered at include:
East Lumberton Baptist Church - Lumberton, NC
Victory Worship Center - Lancaster, SC
Cedar Creek Baptist Church - Patrick, SC
Guest Baptist Church - Fyffe, AL
Elah Baptist Church - Leland, NC
Virginia Awakening - Lebanon, VA
Andrew's Memorial Baptist - Brown Summit, NC
Seven Springs Baptist Church - Seven Springs, NC
We started at East Lumberton on May 9th. We began that Sunday morning under the tent with a large crowd. Tyler preached that morning out of Ezekiel 22 on "Standing in the Gap." The altars were full that morning with people crying and begging God to help us stand in the gap for Lumberton, NC. We do believe that God heard those prayers, because we stayed under the tent in revival for 6 weeks after that.
God moved in a great, and mighty way during those 6 weeks. We saw 313 people saved and over 100 baptized under the tent. People came from all over just to see what was going on. The people of Lumberton were on fire, constantly bringing their lost family and friends under the tent, praying they would see them saved. We saw alcoholics, drug addicts, religious church members, and so many others come to know Christ as their personal Savior.
The true miracle of the revival was to see many different pastors, churches, and denominations, all coming together with one cause in mind - seeing lost people become born again. It wasn't about a preacher, singer, or a church. It was all about Jesus. No man can take credit for what God did during those 6 weeks. it was evident that God's hand was on that tent, and He was the One working and moving in the hearts and lives of everyone involved.
Pastor Mike, and Mrs. Jennifer Bowen truly have a wonderful church, and their church family worked so hard prior to the revival. Advertisement, preparation, and most importantly - prayer, are key with a meeting like we experienced. We are forever grateful for them, and East Lumberton Baptist will always hold a special place in our heart
After leaving East Lumberton, we had meetings at Guest Baptist Church, Elah Baptist Church, The Virginia Awakening, Andrews Baptist Church, and the Carolina Evangelism Conference. We were so blessed to have great services at each meeting we were a part of. We believe the people of God are hungry for revival.
We were also blessed to be able to attend the Arise Youth Conference in Pigeon Forge, TN in July. God moved in an incredible way during that conference. There was powerful, convicting singing, and preaching each morning and night. It was such a blessing to see so many young people gathered together lifting up the name of Jesus. There were many saved, but there were also lots of commitments made to take a stand, and live for Jesus.
Thats what we need in this generation. We need some youth, some young adults, some middle aged, and some elderly adults to rise up and say, "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord." There are too many Christians who have become relaxed and stagnant in their Christian walk. We aren't going to win souls for Christ that way. We need to pray for our families, for our friends, for our country. We don't have much time left before the Lord is going to return. It could be any day now. We must stand up and make a difference now. NOW is the time.
It isn't popular, and it isn't always convenient, but it is time to dedicate our lives to serving Jesus.
You may ask, "Why? What's the point of living my life for God?" The point is, Jesus gave His all for us. He saved our souls from Hell. He has blessed us beyond measure. He has been faithful to us time, and time again. He has prepared a place for us in Heaven. The very least we can do, is try our best to live holy, acceptable lives, serving the One who gave everything to give us eternal life.
